About Black Tie Floral Design & Events

Black Tie Floral Design and Events is a full service florist store where elegance meets expertise in the heart of Sumner County. With seven years of dedicated service, our founder, a beloved hometown florist, has instilled in us a commitment to exceptional customer service and exquisite floral craftsmanship. As a proud Sumner County native myself, I am honored to continue this legacy as the new owner of Black Tie Floral, providing a welcoming haven for all of life's milestones. We take pride in spreading the beauty and joy of flowers throughout our community and hope to continue building existing relationships and creating new ones. 

We pride ourselves with providing a warm and welcoming space for all of life events. We make sure our clients feel supported and provide a consultative approach to all floral arrangements and events.

 Erica Twidle is the owner and lead designer. Erica is innovative, empathetic, and creative. She works extremely hard to make sure our customers are satisfied. She is a graduate of Maryville College with a business degree. After many years in technology sales, she wanted to follow her dreams and was able to work under Rachel Brown (previous owner) and ultimately able to purchase the business. 
 
 Dana Smith is our longest standing designer with Black Tie Floral. She is a college graduate from Indiana University with a degree in Tourism, Convention and Event Management as well as a certified designer, certified through The Floral Design Institute. She has worked as a lead designer with Black Tie for 6 years creating so much beauty you see from our collection. Dana is able to extend her skills in floral to custom designs with her extensive knowledge whether that be adding personal touches to a ribbon, creating t-shirts, balloon arch work, or anything you can think of. Her organization and out of the box thinking promotes execution of tasks and ensure we all are able to provide the best service. 
 
 Leslie Moran is one of our brilliant designers. Leslie has a keen eye for design and style. Leslie is a graduate of Western Kentucky University in a degree in Design Merchandising and Textiles with a minor in Floral Design. She is one of our horticulture pros with propagation and experimenting with new ideas to bring beauty to our store and customers. 
 
 Linda Suddarth is our go to woman when you need things to get done! She provides an instant feeling of welcome when she speaks with our customers. She meets all with empathy and genuine inquisition to how you are doing. Linda is retired with the State of Tennessee and has years of experience in customer service which is evident after one conversation with her. She works hard to keep things in order within our store. Attention to detail and no task too small or too big to request makes Linda invaluable to our team. 
 
 Cheryl Hall, a Gallatin High School graduate, earned her dental assisting degree from Nashville Tech and has spent 32 years in dentistry. Alongside her dental career, she worked for a local floral shop excelling in creative design, home decoration, and customer service. Her extensive experience reflects a blend of precision in dentistry and creativity in design. 

As a member of The Gallatin Chamber of Commerce, we have extensive relationships with our community. Our team is multi faceted in our abilities outside of floral. 
Erica Twidle is a co-leader of her daughters Girl Scout Troop. She also coaches her kids little league teams or soccer teams in the community. Recently, she partnered with another local business woman to teach young women floral design as a trade potential.
